The Senior UEC English Workshop was conducted by Mr Wong Kah Fai on 3rd October 2025 at the Academic Block Auditorium from 1.30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The session aimed to help both students and teachers gain a clearer understanding of the Senior UEC English examination format and effective techniques for answering Paper 1 and Paper 2 questions.

Mr Wong placed special emphasis on organisation in both summary writing and persuasive essays, highlighting that well-structured ideas are key to producing clear and coherent responses. He guided participants on how to identify main points, arrange them logically and link ideas smoothly to form cohesive paragraphs. For persuasive essays, he demonstrated how to organise arguments effectively, balance viewpoints and craft convincing introductions and conclusions. His step-by-step explanations and practical examples helped participants understand how good organisation can greatly enhance writing quality.

Besides writing skills, Mr Wong also shared strategies for tackling questions on reading and language use in Paper 2. Teachers found the workshop equally valuable, gaining fresh insights into examination expectations and classroom techniques to strengthen students’ writing.

Overall, the workshop was both informative and inspiring, motivating participants to apply what they learned and write with greater clarity and confidence. The school extends heartfelt appreciation to Mr Wong Kah Fai for his dedication and valuable contribution in guiding both students and teachers towards success in the upcoming UEC examination.
