    The Senior UEC English Workshop for Senior Three students was held on 18 September 2026 at the Academic Block Auditorium from 1.30 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. Conducted by Mr Wong Kah Fai, the workshop aimed to provide students and teachers with a clearer understanding of the actual Senior UEC English examination format and expectations. The session primarily focused on answering techniques for UEC English Paper 1 and Paper 2.

    Mr Wong began the workshop with Paper 1, Section A: Summary Writing. He explained how to identify the main points, arrange them logically, and use appropriate connectors to link them effectively. He also provided a detailed breakdown of how marks are awarded for this section. Moving on to Section B: Essay Writing, Mr Wong emphasised the importance of a strong thesis statement and demonstrated how to construct a compelling persuasive essay. His clear explanations and practical examples greatly helped students understand and apply these writing techniques.

    Apart from Paper 1, Mr Wong also shared effective strategies for answering Paper 2. He conducted a hands-on practice session with the students on the Error Identification section. The students responded enthusiastically, actively providing the correct answers and explaining the reasons behind them. The teachers who attended the workshop also gained valuable insights into examination expectations and effective teaching techniques that could be implemented in their classrooms.

    All in all, the workshop was highly informative and motivating, leaving the students eager to apply what they had learned. The school would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to Mr Wong Kah Fai for his dedication and valuable contribution to guiding both our students and teachers.
