As Junior 1 students of 2026 will be doing their listening test for the first time, the Academic Affairs department and English Language department organised a briefing session for the Junior 1 students on 14th of April (Tuesday). The goal of the briefing is to inform students about the details and preparation for the upcoming listening test.
Prior to the briefing, the head of Academic Affairs department, Mr Lee Chong Aik, gave valuable advice to all students. The session was conducted by Ms Farrah, while Ms Cho was in charge of the presentation slides. The teachers-in-charge patiently explained the rules and regulations while students jot down important details. All Junior level English teachers were also present to ensure the students were listening and ensure proper conduct throughout the session.
Students were given a reminder of the tests at the end of the briefing:
- To prepare stationery needed (a 5B pencil and an eraser)
- To be punctual on the day of the test
- To read the test instructions carefully
- To check and revise the listening audios posted on the Google Classroom
With the briefing coming to an end, the students were once again reminded to revise for the listening test through the scripts and audios posted on their respective Google Classrooms. Moreover, they were also reminded on reading the test paper instructions clearly and completing all parts of the tests. The listening test marks contribute to their overall English marks thus they were also encouraged to do their best.
We would like to thank the Academic Affairs department and all English teachers for preparing the briefing session and ensuring the session was carried out smoothly as well as the students for giving their focus and etiquette. We would also like to thank all the Junior 1 homeroom teachers for ensuring the students cooperation throughout the briefing.
