On 24 April 2026, an engaging and inspiring Elocution Competition was held for students of Chung Hua Independent High School Klang aged 15 - 18. The event took place from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., bringing together talented young speakers who demonstrated confidence, creativity, and strong command of the English language.
In the competition, ten students of two categories emerged winners and their details as follows.
The competition aimed to enhance students’ public speaking skills, boost their self-confidence, and encourage them to express their thoughts effectively. Participants delivered well-prepared speeches on a variety of thought-provoking topics, ranging from current global issues to personal experiences and motivational themes.
Each contestant was evaluated based on content, clarity, pronunciation, expression, and overall delivery. The judges, consisting of experienced teachers, were impressed by the high standard of performance displayed by the students.
Throughout the competition, the audience remained attentive and supportive, applauding each speaker for their effort and courage. The atmosphere was both competitive and encouraging, allowing students to showcase their talents while learning from one another.
Overall, the Elocution Competition was a great success. It not only highlighted the students’ speaking abilities but also fostered a love for language and effective communication. The event left a lasting impression on both participants and audience members, inspiring many to continue improving their public speaking skills.
